ONE SEARCH

What data do you get?

Local lead generation starts with a list. Point a search at a city and a business type, and the Google Maps results come back as rows for your sheet or CRM, up to 100 businesses per search.

# type=maps · query "dentist Miami" · first rows as CSV

Every field there comes straight off the public Maps listing. Prefer code? The same search is one request.

curl "https://crustapi.com/v1/search?type=maps&q=dentist+Miami" \ -H "x-api-key: YOUR_KEY"

Want the whole city, not just the first 100? A full-area sweep pulls past Google's roughly-100-per-search cap. Our Miami dentist sweep pulled 1,006 practices.

THREE STEPS

How do you get started?

No code needed. From zero to a lead list in about two minutes:

  1. 1

Create a free account. Try it free, no card needed.

  2. 2

Type a search in the playground. Something like dentist Miami. The businesses land in a table.

  3. 3

Click export. Download the CSV and open it in Sheets or your CRM.

The playground also plugs into Clay, n8n, and MCP. Developers can run the curl above instead and get JSON.

THE TRADE-OFFS

CrustAPI vs the Google Places API

Google sells this data too, through the Places API. It works, but the pricing tier and the terms are built for map apps, not for building a lead list you keep.

Google Places API (New)CrustAPI
Ratings, phone, website, hours$35 per 1,000 requests (Enterprise tier)from $1.96 per 1,000 businesses
Results per call20 (up to 60 across 3 billed pages)up to 100
Keeping the dataplace IDs only; lat/lng cached max 30 daysthe rows are yours to store
What you pay forevery requesteach business returned; zero results cost nothing
Whole-metro coveragecapped per searchdeep sweeps, 1,000+ per metro
Star histogramnot availableoptional, stars=true

Both pull from the same public place data. Google's terms restrict you to storing place IDs and cap location caching at 30 days; the rows you export here you keep.

STRAIGHT ANSWER

Where do emails come from?

Here is the part most tools skip over. Google Maps listings have no email field, so nobody pulling from Maps has emails. From Maps you get name, phone, website, address, rating, and hours.

To reach a real person by email, add one step. Run the decision-maker through the LinkedIn type=profile endpoint, which returns one verified work email per person. Pull the city from Maps, then enrich the accounts that matter.

PRICING

How much do local leads cost?

You pay the Maps rate for each business a search returns. At standard Maps prices, 80 businesses cost $0.1568. Empty searches cost nothing. Here is the deposit pricing:

DepositGoogle Search / 1,000 requestsMaps / 1,000 businessesLinkedIn reads / 1,000 requestsPeople, Jobs, Refresh / 1,000 units
$10+$1.00$1.96$6.00$1.96
$149+$0.76$1.49$4.50$1.49
$549+$0.56$1.10$3.30$1.10
$1,999+$0.41$0.80$2.45$0.80
$6,500+$0.33$0.65$1.95$0.65

$50,000+$0.26$0.50$1.50$0.50
$100,000+$0.20$0.40$1.50$0.40

Every eligible account gets $6 of free usage monthly. Each deposit keeps its prices until spent; paid funds never expire. People and Jobs bill per successful search, Refresh per accessible profile. Full profiles in People use the read rate per full profile. See all billing details.

Larger deposits unlock lower endpoint prices. Each deposit keeps its prices until spent. See the full deposit table on the pricing page. Prices in USD, ex-tax.

You can try it free with no card. Funds are prepaid and never expire, so an unused pack is still yours next year.

When to pick another tool

We are not the right answer for every job. Here is the case where something else fits better.

WHEN THEY WIN

Named-account contact data: if you need verified emails and direct dials for specific people at hundreds of named companies, a contact database like Apollo or ZoomInfo is built for that. We are the better call when the job is "every business in this city with its phone, site, rating, and hours." They fit better at "find the CFO's cell at these 300 accounts."

BEFORE YOU ASK

Common questions

No. Maps listings do not carry an email field, so no Maps-based tool gives you email. You get name, phone, website, address, rating, and hours. For a verified work email, run the LinkedIn profile endpoint on the person, which returns one verified email each.

A single search returns up to 100. To cover a whole metro, a full-area sweep pulls past Google's roughly-100-per-search cap and returns every business in the area. Our Miami dentist sweep pulled 1,006 practices.

No. The playground at /app runs any search and shows results as a flat table you can copy. It also plugs into Clay, n8n, and MCP. Developers who want it can hit the API directly instead.

Maps costs $1.96 per 1,000 businesses at standard prices, down to $0.40 for the largest deposit. Empty and failed searches are free. Every eligible account gets $6 of free usage monthly. Paid funds never expire.

Yes. The rows you pull are yours to store in a sheet or a CRM. Google's own Places API limits you to storing place IDs and caps lat/lng caching at 30 days; that limit does not apply to what you export here.

Name, place ID, rating, review count, phone, website, full street address, weekly hours, primary and all categories, lat/lng, and open or closed flags. Add stars=true for the 1-to-5 star histogram.
